Hello! My name is Lliw.

I'm a digital illustrator/character designer, alongside my studies at university.
This carrd features examples of my artwork and prices for those interested in commissions. (It looks better on desktop!)
My commissions aren't always open, and sometimes only open to friends/mutuals, so please reach out to me on discord @Lliwless if you're interested at all.

To make the process smooth for us both, I may check in with you to clarify details I may be struggling with.

The lists above are not exhaustive, I have the right to deny any commission at my discretion.

Style 1

This style uses bolder linework and colours.
I am most familiar with this style, so it will have a faster turnaround time.

Style 2

This style uses more pencil and paint-like brushes for a softer feel.
Sometimes I mix different brushes which changes the general style of the piece; if you want a specific look for your piece, please show a pre-existing image from here for reference.Due to the more involved process, turnaround times may be longer.

Character Design References

Only available in style 1. Comes with at least one unshaded fullbody and palette,
with design notes if needed.
Turnarounds, alternative outfits, items, expressions, etc. cost extra.

This is a more intensive commission which will require lots of discussion between us.
Please only order if you're certain you can keep up active communication until the design is finished.I will need enough information of the character to properly design them. This may include:

Real-life reference pictures
Picrews (with picrew maker's permission)
Moodboards
Written descriptions

Design complexity may increase the base price. This includes:

Prices are always open to negotiation!
I heavily encourage discussing your budget first if you can't afford the original price. You won't be seen as rude; I'm eager to work on a project we can both be happy with!

Terms of Service:

General Terms:

By commissioning me you agree to these terms and accept consequence for breaking them.

You must be 18+ to commission me.
I have the right to refuse or cancel a commission at my discretion, including if I suspect you are a minor.
I retain rights to all my work and may display completed commissions in my portfolios and social media.
Please tell me if you want your commission to be private - I will respect your wishes!
No artwork or media created by me may be used in any blockchain related technology, including but not limited to NFTs, cryptocurrency, AI-generation or further inventions in this field.
Violation of these terms, depending on the severity, may result in being blacklisted from future business and warned about to the artist community.

Process:

Please DM me if interested in a commission. From there I will ask you the details of what you want and we can negotiate price, including adjusting to your budget.
A clear visual reference of the character(s) is required for character illustrations. If you only have written descriptions, collage irl reference pictures, moodboards, etc. this will cost extra. Design updates to the existing character are accepted within reason.
I will provide low-quality screenshot updates upon finishing the sketch, lineart + flats, and rendering, as well as upon request. During these updates please tell me if you want anything changed. Once I begin rendering, I refuse to make any large edits or corrections. Smaller edits can be requested within reason.
Turnaround times may vary greatly. I encourage you to regularly ask for updates, and I will let you know if anything happens that prevents me from working on your commission.
Once complete, I will email you a full-resolution image from [email protected] of your artwork that you can download. Please let me know upon ordering if you'd like it to stay private. Otherwise, I may share your commission to public spaces, including but not limited to social media posts, portfolios/galleries and discord servers.

Usage:

Commissioned artwork is for personal, non-profit use only.
You cannot make merchandise or other sold goods using my artwork under any circumstances.
You are not allowed to claim my artwork or designs as your own, or remove or obscure my signature.
Please leave credit when using my art online, either to the username 'Lliwless' or as a direct link to this website.

Payment:

Payment will be done through PayPal invoice.
All prices are listed in GBP. It is up to the commissioner to make sure the right amount of money is sent for payment.
For complicated requests that increase the price, I will let you know how much the upcharge is upon ordering. All extras with upcharges will have their prices clearly listed on the invoice.
Partial payment is available for commissions at and over 50 GBP. At least 50% of the total commission price must be paid before I start work. All updates will be low-resolution, heavily watermarked screenshots until 100% of the price has been paid.
The invoice will allow tips - this is not required, but hugely appreciated!

Refunds & Upcharges:

Upon cancelling a commission that has already been paid for, I will give a partial refund depending on how much work has been completed.

Not started: 95% refund
Sketch: 75% refund
Lineart + flats: 25% refund

No refund will be issued once I have started rendering.
Cancelled commissions are prohibited from being used and may be 'rescued' for future projects (such as posing, composition, etc. Your character will never be used).
Tips are unfortunately non-refundable.Upcharges will be enacted at my discretion and will be discussed upon ordering.
This can include:

Working without a clear visual reference
Deadlines sooner than a week (I must be notified upon ordering)
Major edits past the lineart + flats stage (posing, background, lighting, etc)
A complete re-sketch of the commission, if requested
